LEGAZPI CITY—Tourism thrust Bicol into its peak economic performance in 2015, registering the highest growth rate among regions in the country, according to the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA).

LEGAZPI CITY: The Philippine government, through the Department of Foreign Affairs, will be showcasing Albay province, especially Legazpi City, as fast booming economic and tourism hubs outside Manila in the upcoming Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation Summit in 2015, DFA Undersecretary Laura del Rosario said Thursday.

LEGAZPI CITY, July 21 (PNA) — This key Bicol metropolis is firming up its hold on green tourism in reasserting its “City of Fun and Adventure” travel industry promotion caption and its “Most Livable City” title. City Mayor Noel Rosal resolved on this after looking at the growing number of arrivals that the city has been receiving not only as tourists but also attendees to dozens of grand occasions it has been hosting every year over the past few years.
